Join us for an Art Reception on Saturday, January 10th from 6pm-7:30pm featuring paintings by Xavier Pierce in a series called Hushed Light. Xavier Pierce is a multidisciplinary artist born and raised in northeast Portland, Oregon. Using painting as his primary language, he reflects on memory, emotion, and presence. Drawing from lived experience, he uses art as a thinking tool and a way to navigate life’s emotional currents, translating internal moments into visual compositions. What began as a personal process for understanding change and growth has evolved into a practice rooted in the belief that creativity is essential to the human experience. With gratitude to his family—Twila, Lavon, Jada, Grandma Cain, and Papa Cain—and to his fiancée, Hannah. Hushed Light emerges from finding solace in the quiet rhythms of the everyday."
