Tennis Ladders

We have our Tennis Ladders to provide another way for competitive match play for our Members. Our hope is that our Tennis Ladders become an integral part of our tennis programming and provide a fun, competitive way for you to play tennis with your tennis community. We are creating different ladders that you can join and compete by challenging players who are above you on the ladder with the ultimate goal of getting to the top of the ladders. Please click here (app.tennisrungs.com/Public/Register/91538447) and register, creating your own username and password then a welcome email will be sent to you from TennisRungs. You will then download the mobile app login and then join the ladders that you are interested in. I can create new and different ladders so if a ladder you are interested in isn’t there let me know and I can create it quite easily. If you are a junior and are registering on the Futures, Power or High School ladders please include a 2.5 rating for Futures, 3.5 for Power, and 4.5 for High School on the online registration form. New players added to the ladders are added at the bottom and then will need to challenge players to move up. Non-members can join the ladders, but would need to pay a guest fee if the match is played at the club and other rules that govern nonmembers apply. Over time the goal is to add prizes for winners of ladders, but for now enjoy trying to get to the top of your ladder.

We hope that this will provide a positive tool for captains when making lineups for matches and for our junior program so our kids can challenge each other within their classes for more match play practice. Tennis ladders aren’t for everyone, but we are sure many of you will enjoy this new program at the club. This is free to join and get involved in. The rules of the different ladders are explained online once you register. The scoring format is first to 8 games with a regular first to 7 wins by two, tiebreaker at 7 all. This hopefully will allow enough time for the match to finish within the 1hr 15min court time. Of course, you may use a longer scoring format if you aren’t restricted by the court time. This is a great way to get some competitive match practice in before tournament play.
