Head Lifeguard

In charge of facilities and staff when on duty. Plan and run in-service, train lifeguard staff, evaluate lifeguard staff, liaison to management. Minimum 2 years experience 30-40 hrs. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Lifeguard Level 3 ~ Shift Guard

Full or part time position. Shift guards will be responsible for the facility when a Head Guard is not scheduled. Shift guards have had at least one year of experience, have shown they are capable of managing other guards and have a strong understanding of the duties and tasks associated with the lifeguard’s job. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Lifeguard Level 2

Part time employment. Guards with experience. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Lifeguard Level 1

Part time employment. First year guards or guards with limited experience. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Swim Coach

All assistant coaches must be willing and able to teach lessons and are lifeguard certified. Swim Team season: June 17th – August 10th, 15-30 hours: must be able to work Saturdays (4-5 Saturdays from June 11 – August 4th).

Assistant Coach

Prior experience teaching lessons or coaching. Assistant coaches must be energetic, and motivated. Coaches should have knowledge of stroke technique and basic understanding of swim training. Coaches will have responsibilities including: coaching on deck, organizing volunteers for swim meets and fundraising, recording and entering data.

Lessons

Group Lessons are given Monday-Thursday from 10:40 am – 12:30 pm; Private lessons Friday, Saturday & Sunday AM. Group lessons are two week sessions.

Lesson Coordinator

Plan lesson schedule, supervise lessons, train and evaluate instructors, schedule instructors, liaison to parents: 15-20 hours. Lesson coordinator must be available for all sessions. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Head Lesson Instructor

Create daily lesson plans, communicate with parents, teach and evaluate participants. 10-15 hours: approximately eight hours a week of group lessons, and 0-10 hours private lessons. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Level 2 Instructor

Co-teach classes with Head instructor or other Level 2 Instructor. With guidance from lesson coordinator, plan lesson schedule and evaluate participants. Communicate daily with parents. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

Level 1 Instructor

Little or no experience, preferably some instructor training. Co-teach with Head Instructor. Pay rate based on experience and performance.

All positions require current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
